No one knows, but everyone has asked the same thing! Hopefully we will see it, but no announcements made by S397 as far as I am aware. There is a half decent mod out there, can't remember where I found it...
I think this is the one --> Daytona RC: http://www.internationalsimracing.com/forum/index.php?topic=3939.0
One of the great thrills of my life was being able to get out to the Bus stop chicane at night, back in about 1995. Early in the week we almost got thrown out for taking pictures thru the fencing, and then being able to get to the chicane(and the top of the press building...) what a week!
Hi. I am new to RF2, and have been trying to download the Daytona RC mod using the 1.27 version from the link you mentioned. Every time I try to extract the files using 7 zip it says something to the effect of "cannot open files as archive." Any idea on how I can resolve this? Thanks for any help.
the file is already in rF2 format. it is an .rfcmp and all you need do it place that file in your packages folder. If you have rF2 placed in the default location, the packages folder follows this path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Packages Then once in the game, choose the content page and look for the item to install it. (should have a big red X in one colum)
Very nice Daytona 24h road course here. https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=2178681726
Yes, confirmed. Except couple of strange lightings & reflections, it's very good. Furthermore, AI look to work quite well despite author wrote ""AIW NÃO ESTA 100% PRONTO PARA OFFLINE"" Only minus point is road mesh that looks bit flat. This circuit / link is also listed in 3rd party forum.
Just installed this 1.28 version, however as mentioned above the assets need an upgrade, track mesh isn't very good and the grass is 2010 looking. Sad Studio 397 have not released a DLC for this one. Finger crossed for the future. For now I will settle on Assetto Corsa version as it is very well done.
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...ral-discussion.307899/page-1176#post-13110419 This is the one I use, great track, little hard on FPS but its very good. This is the one from the Reboot Team.
It's basically the same as the 2016 one, but with more contrast and some added textures/objects by the side of the track. The track itself is the same, down to the lack of realroad and rubber build up. Try to run the old and "new" one at night, and you'll see the same areas, same object flicker, and act up!
Yes agreed, but its miles better than the one in rF2. But no arguing on the realroad and rubber build up. Hope someone can address that even if its not as realistic as a laser scan until 397 can build one.
Sorry for opening this up again, but if I re-installed RF2 to a new hard drive (E:... instead of C:...) would I have to create a new packages folder? I am trying to install a non-workshop mod and I don't see a "Packages" folder anymore? Thanks for any help. (See screenshot)
just make one with windows. right click on rfactor2 then choose new-folder. You will get a folder called....new folder.....right click on that and rename it Packages.
