Hey Scott - you really need to check out the "infinity universe" project It's in development and probably will remain in development for at least few years, but it's worth checking out anyway.
AWESOME. FINALLY. Someone else on the internet that thinks this way as well. I love the Wing Commander series to death and I've gone for a few smaller titles like Independence War II. I loved MechWarrior although I liked EarthSiege 2 and StarSiege a little better. Honestly... if ISI can make a mech/space sim? That would be absolutely epic. I also wish these games can come back but we just need one really good sci-fi mech sim with 1. a fantastic story and 2. a fantastic multiplayer i think we can get the ball rolling in terms of space/mech sims... that's really all that's necessary at this point Shattered Horizons was a good space shooter and was really surprisingly simmy but it's lack of a good story based singleplayer has hurt the game a little.
