I miss the good old xd tool. It was so simple.
Hey! Get out of my thread, you neanderthal!
Although logged data certainly has its advantages, like being able to check what's going on in parts of the track with very different nature (without having to stop after each one, and see what the garage temps look like), there's no doubt it's easy to get too caught up in exact figures. Very few drivers, sim or real life, are good enough to make fine data analysis and tuning quantifiable or useful. As for the more basic stuff, you could cover basically all those with some informative in-car HUD elements, but then those looking for realism would perhaps rather go back to the garage and check the telemetry like they would (and sometimes, do) in real life.
Love you lazza
Guys please can I have a Motec project for open wheels?
Yes you can; it's just a matter of maths and time.
I would suggest you to concentrate on doing a detailed tyres, suspension and aerodynamics workbooks, as these are the main ones for openwheelers.
Thank you Andrea, but the problem is that I m not able to do that. Have you a ready project to send me?
I can't download it for me, because the file contains a trojan
TCLF read the 1st couple of posts:
Is it possible to import the video of personal laps in the app?
@Ciccina2016 I haven't done it myself, but I believe it is, yes. Assuming by 'video' you mean a recorded video, not just an rF2 replay file.
I tried to record a video of one my replays to match it with telemetry but motec freezes as soon as I try to import it .
I will try to investigate.
What's the file format?
Here it crashed with a higher resolution MOV or MP4. I converted to a 480p classic AVI and it worked fine.
it is a 2.5 MB in mp4 format.
I will try the conversion and let you know.
Logs can't be created with official GT3 cars, are they all blocked now?
I just noticed they are now in GT3 folder
Today i released my collection for MoTeC. I started to collect this archive from 2007. Many things that are in the archive are no longer available on the web, as the sites do not work.
1. Software and plugins for install rF1, rF2.
2. Useful matches.
3. Big pack of Projects for MoTeC. I recommend use Proekt - it's crazy project with so much tabs.
4. Manuals on russian, english and spanish languages.

Special respect for Lazza for create best plugin for our game. Thank you very much.
P.S. I've been thinking for a long time whether to post it on the net or not. But looking through the archives, launching sites, I was convinced that most of the things from the archive are no longer available to users.
I think this is very useful content and I would be grateful if Lazza attached the link to it in the first message. This will help all community members to quickly understand the installation, setting up MoTeC, and also teach users to work with telemetry.
There are some interesting resources in there, but packaging it all together doesn't really make it accessible, and I would avoid including a 'current' i2Pro in there (it's best to let people get software from the software company's site, generally) - especially because the DAMPlugin works with current i2Pro versions, so giving people a specific version could lead to them encountering bugs they wouldn't get with the latest version. I didn't see an older i2Pro in there from a quick look, that would actually be something to consider for rF1 compatibility.
I think there are also some duplicate files in your archive.
Why is my anti virus picking this up?
@TOCA2FREAK It's a false positive. Some antivirus packages are picking it up, many aren't. There's a manual install archive in the first post so you don't need to try and work around your antivirus.
Do you know where I can learn n to add channels in motec.
Basically I have the tyre wear channels in my workbook, fr,fl,rr,rl but I would like to split each tyre into inner, middle and outer, for the wear.
Any advice would be appreciated
Also I think the right and left tyre temps are labelled wrong, say I go through a left hand corner, the left tyres report higher temps
@patchedupdemon You can't split channels. The game only provides a single wear figure for each tyre, so that's all the info we have. We can't see how they're wearing in different places (something I'd personally like to see, Indycar Racing [2?] back in the 90s 'showed' three wear indicators across the tread and I think this realistic scenario not being available in a sim is a shame. But I digress.)
I'm pretty sure the tyre temps are the right way around, you might be seeing evidence of some locking up or wheelspin on the unloaded rear.
