SOLVED Cut system cancel pitstop if pitlane has no boundary

Hello. I want to report problem that I had with old 1966 Monte Carlo track. Pitlane here has no walls or boundaries from race surface. You must request pit stop in order to be serviced. With new cut track system game starts to cancel any pit stop when you are entering service area just before your pitbox. It is impossible to service the car on that track. If you set cut penalties to None on server, it works fine.

Steps to reproduce:
Launch 1966 Monte Carlo track from Anthology Collection with cut penalties set to Strict, Default or Relaxed. Go out of paddock area and request pit stop. Try to enter your pitbox. It disappears.
Launch same track with cut penalties set to None. Go out of paddock area and request pit stop. Try to enter your pitbox. It works.

Also, I have read about same problem here https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=2739557672

Probably it has to do with overlapping corridors. I made a patch for it some time ago, works in offline mode and fixes the broken pit stops. Look here for MonteCarlo66_AIWfix.rfcmp: https://mega.nz/folder/CIIlGQ5C#jmMrO8sfvanSx4D6X8PaLg ->

Thank you for package. I will try it. But anyway it is bug that broke some content where pit lane has no boundaries. Ideally track corridors should cover all race surface it can't be done without overlapping I believe.

They have broken even official content like the Formula E Test Circuit, due to overlapping corridors

Just writing a bug report. There are some overlapping corridors in the range of xpitin

I can confirm this issue was introduced since last year Q3 update with new cut system. Dundrod track was affected by this issue at the time as the track also uses "no clear pit boundary", and this is fixed by fully separate cut corridors between main and pit lane.

However by separating corridors, it still doesn't work exact the same as it was before, because it no longer possible to enter pit at later point. Those track used to use a xpitin.gmt that encloses entire pit lane so that driver can enter pit at any point and still be able to make a valid pit, but now with separated corridors and new cut system, driver must now enter at the exact pit entry line, otherwise pit will still be cancelled, so it is not exact historically accurate, and a limitation to pit-ability for narrow street track.

On the other hand, Belgium 1966 wasn't affected by this is because the AIW corridors was already separated from main path and it has wide enough road.

Maybe it helps to make a xpitin which covers the whole pit lane or push the button for request a pit stop. Monte Carlo 1966 has afair such a xpitin

thanks. it was made to originally cover the entire pit area, but since new cut system, I had spent a lot time trying to make it work again, but it always cancels pit if entering the pit from sides other than entry line(all corridors are already completely separated, and dundrod doesn't really have enough space for more corridor gaps). So in the end I had removed those sides mesh that would cancel pit, and now only the entry line mesh is kept.

Okay build just went live with the fix for this. The fix is to ensure that the race track cut track does not encroach into the pit lane. The pitlane can encroach over the track though.

Edit we had to roll back the fix due to an unrelated issue. Hopefully we will have it back up soon.
