I am trying to find where i would load my custom skins into the game. ISI have released the templates but no tutorial as to where once you finished to put them. Can anyone offer some assistance pls. Scotty-DPG.
Hey Scotty, You need to place them in a new folder under UserData titled "MOD Name of VEH Folder" with an "alt" at the end of your .dds file name. This method is being reviewed and what you learn now will most likely change very soon, please also note that every MOD you skin would most likely have a different file name structure... Example- Using the CLIO The default file path for Renault Clio is- rFactor/installed/vehicles and the file name is called- "Renault_Clio". This has the default skins (MAS Files). You must add a file named "Renault_Clio" to this file path- Factor/UserData/player/Settings/(new file)Renault_Clio/(new file)Clio_12 "Clio_12" is the car number #12, place your skins in here and name them like this- "Clio_12alt.dds" (for your skin) and "Clio_12altWINDOW" (for your window) and "Clio_12altextra0" (for your rims) Go to single player and select Renault Clio MOD with car #12/ Tuning and scroll through to your car where you see "Car Paint" Hope this helps!
@TestDriver Thanks heaps for your reply above, took me a while to slowly read it and work it all out, but got there last night. Now i can see where my skins need adjusting and i can use it in game. AWESOME Now i can paint some more.
