Because @Paul McC reported a Bug at Croft in a Video, where the Cars on the Track crashed into the Cars that wanted to get back on Track after a Pitstop, i tried to fix that Behaviour. I did test it with a 34 Car Field of GT3s and also @Paul McC tested it and it seems as if i could fix the Problem. If you want to try it out, download it from THIS Site please. In Game, it appears as "CROFT 1.06PITFIX" in the Menu. Here is a Video from @Paul McC that shows the Effect without and with the Fix
Thanks for this! Will definitely be giving this a test soon as Croft is a favorite track of mine in rF2. Anyone else having missing car parts on one stretch of track (Croft)? Happens with various official cars in replay mode. The wheels and tires (and more) disappear and reappear a bit later. I'll try to figure out what part of the track.
Here you go mate, shows exactly what the fix does. Thanks again so much for this mate, you absoloute star!
Thank you, but i've meant a Video from @RaceNut, that shows the Problem that he mentioned above. BUT don't delete your Post
Yes, it also happenes with the Caterhams at Donnington, they loose their Suspention parts, only for a second or two in replay
I had this happen with Caterham and Mini at Croft and with the BTCC cars as well. Suspension / wheels / tires, etc. I haven't tested at Donnington, though. @redapg - I'm not knowledgeable on video creation but, I'll see what I can figure out.
BTW @Paul McC and @RaceNut Does that only happen with some Cars, while others don't have that Effect? If that is the Case, it's a "Problem" with the Lod Settings of the Cars and to raise the LodMultipliers of the Track Cams wouldn't make Sense, because that could have a bad Influence on the FPS on these Tracks then.
Rf2s graphics do let things pop in and out in general at certain times, it's not a big thing and it does definitely depend on your graphics settings, thing you are right about the l.o.d.s.
Yes, the LOD function does make sense to me. Initially, I thought it might be related to my settings but, I'll have a closer look at that and do a bit more testing.
