Crashing to desktop

hi,i really need help with this game,i cannot get it to work at all.
Everytime i try to race the game Crashes to desktop.
 
Just Tried again with my wheel ( Fanatec V2 ) turned Off and it started .. So a Driving Sim that only let me in game but without my driving wheel o_O:confused:

Deleting (UserData) I have Uninstalled & Reinstalled Rebooted my PC..

turned it on while sitting down & once while standing & repeated this facing east ' west ' north' south even spoke to a blue bottle that flew in the window ... she shrugged & shook her head then left while laughing at me 2 more blue bottles 1 fly & a wasp have since passed and i'm sure they all pointed in and laughed at me :(:D:D

@Connor I don't have fanatec so not sure how it would affect things, but in your other thread you said it worked in 2d but not VR.

Can you create and post a trace file? There's a sticky thread in the technical section explaining how to do it. And please clarify if it works with or without vr, wheel, etc.
 
The masses of content messages is quite normal. It seems to have stopped during the input devices routines, just as it's reading the wheel rotation. Can you try without VR and wheel, a few times if it does work, then try with one and then the other. Try to find a pattern to help identify the cause.

There have been device related changes in this build and you have a few devices, so some link there seems possible.

Also please specify how far the game got for each trace file - the second one there looks like it loaded all the way.
 
only Crash was with My Wheel .. also maybe just a wheel issue alone Shiftier double shifts up as of late mostly up but the odd 3 gear drop down just for fun ;) yeap it never rains it pours LOL
 
There is no problem with my system as i can run every other sim (Assetto Corsa,Assetto Corsa Competizione,Dirt Rally 2.0,F1 2019 and Project Cars 2) all at medium or high quality with good FPS and all with no problem at all..The only game i own that does not work is RF2????

Then most likely you have not configured rF2 to run properly. It can be confusing. Trust us, the ol 'it works on all the other sims,' is well known here.
Please DO post your system specs. It will usually speed things along. So a couple of questions.
1. What are your system specs, cpu, system memory, video card, laptop or desktop. Windows version. Steam? Most of this info can be found by typing dxdiag in the windows start box, (lower left of your windows desktop)
2. Do you see any error messages when you get the crash?
3. What car/track are you trying to race? Until this is figured out, limit yourself to one car that is not a downloaded car and one default track like Silverstone, Zandvoort, Nola.
Start there.

The point where the trace ends is after enumerating device 7 - and in the earlier completed trace it was detecting the wheel rotation after that. Have you tried using software rotation lock? Part of that is stopping it detecting wheel rotation so might be worth a try.

There's a repeat shifts setting you can try to help your shifter with, but longer term you might want to source some replacement switches. My F1 rim paddles used to play up a lot, to the point where I was getting doubles but sometimes nothing at all (Which no setting can fix!) and I took old button switches from a MS ball mouse (circa 1995) and bodgied them in, working fine so far.


@DJ SkorpX you need to give info. If it were purely a game problem everyone would be having the same.
 
Cheers Zazza & Nonamenow .. I went the whole uninstall & delete rf2 file in steam apps and reinstalled it now lets me in it did ignore my Wheel & Pedals and didn't detect them BUT I had saved all to an external hd so I'm up a going Dj SkorpX best of luck pal your in good experienced hands :D:cool:
