I just installed a bodnar wheel and a set of HE ultimate pedals.
I signed up for a trial version of rfactor2, and I could not find the wheel or pedals in the setting.

Can someone give me some instructions of how I can configure that ?
Any links or help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

You'll need to make your own custom preset:

Go into Options from the Main menu (bottom right), select Controls Tab

In the right hand window where you see all the controller assignments listed, click on each one you want to assign, and depress the control you want to assign when prompted (pop up window.)

Once you've assigned everything make sure to Save your profile. (Save button is on the bottom of the controller assignments window)

A couple of other things to look at:

    Force Feedback Type: Wheel

Car Specific FFB Multi: You may need to test and see what works best. Default is 1.00

Important: Make sure and try adding some "FFB Smoothing" if the forces are too jolty. (Keep this value as low as possible)

On my Bodnar the wheel is extremely heavy after I reinstalled rf2. I put 20nm in the control.ini. for steering torque capability. Even with car specific ffb turn way down the wheel is way to heavy. What am I forgetting to do?

    Thanks

How low is "Even with car specific ffb turn way down the wheel is way to heavy"?

Also, unlikely but might be worth just double checking you didn't make a typo with the 20Nm value.

How much of a reduction in ffb strength does it feel like going from 1.00 to 0.10?

    0%? 10%? 25%? 50%?

I think i get a placebo effect and it does seem like a very small reduction, but my guess is its a zero percent reduction.

Try again with the controller.json file deleted, letting rf2 creating a fresh one. See if there is any change.

    @mlaw

i see you started having trouble after reinstalling rF2 so before the reinstall everything was okay?
Why did you do the reinstall, because of new OS or new hardware or just for cleaning up reasons?

    Tried this: http://www.simsteering.com/downloads.html

    SimSteering Configuration Software V0.2

The problem is in the JSON file. The SS2 can output damper and spring effects simultaneously and the json you're using most likely has an extremely high spring effect. Download this controller.json (see link below) put it your controller folder and load it from rF2. Then reassign axis, buttons, etc. The spring effect will be gone.
