While trying to load into a server or a single player race the same error message comes up. I have tried validating the files through steam as that is the first fix but that hasnt worked, just looking to find a way to fix it.
Wherever you installed Steam....\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Support\Runtimes In that Runtimes folder, run the four vcredist files. See if that fixes the problem.
Because of the second screenshot with the json error, i would suggest to, as first step, let the game create a new player folder with new json files. Go to the folder Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\UserData and rename the folder 'Player' into 'Backup Player' then start rfactor 2. The game will create a new player folder with all needed files. Maybe that helps.
i have found something, on my video settings it says that my video driver is on v0.00000 im pretty sure that isnt what it is ament to be, just uploaded a vid of what happens
Have you tried to select your GPU in GPU combo instead of leaving as Auto? Do you have Riva Tuner installed and running, or Comodo Antivirus? This applications normally generates error with rF2. @Liam Rance Go to rFactor2 root, support/Runtimes folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Support\Runtimes). Install Runtimes, When you start rFactor2 go to settings > Video Settings > GPU, don`t select AUTO, select your main GFX card.
no, i have Norton ant virus, also changing to the Video settings, done that and still doesn't work. And I have all the run times installed Dont really know what is going on and I need the game atm as I have signed up for the le man race...
