HDR was introduced before build 49. One of the first things I played with in dev mode were HDR profiles.

Neither Sun nor specular reflections have proper strength in rF2. They're not distinct from other bright objects from bloom filter's point of view. This means, if you set your bloom filter sensitive enough to react to Sun and specular reflections, you will also end up having white blowouts all over the place. I simply don't use bloom filter for that reason.
