I made this mod just for fun. I wanted to know what a 900+ hp v10 is capable of in a 2013 chassis. Unfortunately, my render settings killed the quality. Lean back and enjoy. My line is far from perfect but this was my 2nd time on this track. I'll do a better video when i'm hot-lapping soon.
Another little video, this time I'm taking a look at historic Spa in the EVE F1 car. I'm talking a lot about how I drive the track, what to look out for etc. Just me jammering on. The race is quite entertaining.
Enjoyed the video hexa. Couple of little things though, if I may. I think you said it was 1968 Belgium when it`s actually 1966 or maybe even 1967 as it says it`s 1966 on the tracks list but shows 1967 on the track picture in sim... What build was the video done with? I noticed the tyre smoke from cars in front wasn`t showing through the windscreen... White sticks of evil Like it.
As I said, the dates are mixed up for this track in sim anyway, I was just having fun... Thanks for confirming it was b770.
So I did a comparison of Longford with AC and rF2. I think they compare well. In the video I had a rendering issue where the rFactor2 footage. In-sim it was perfect, the raw footage was perfect, the render came out stuttery when driving through shadows. I re-drove and recorded it four times. Twice with DXtory and twice with shadowplay and rendered four times using render settings which are solid usually in Sony Vegas pro. I have tried to stress in the video that the stuttering is a rendering issue. Does anyone have any advice to avoid this? I had Vsync on to keep the frames at 60fps as usually that gives me better results. Edit: I want to also say this is a genuine attempt to show off rF2, not show it in a bad light.
It's only useless for about six seconds while it stutters..... The rest of it is the best they have to offer.... Personally I think rfactor 2 looks better, as does a commenter on the video and comments on reddit, don't be so defensive. I honestly posted this because I want to see if anyone has a solution to my render issue... I want to show the best of rFactor 2 and intend to with more videos. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
It's pretty good, and good on you for trying to make a decent comparison. I started trying to do the same, but I found the lighting system in AC wouldn't match up with any TOD in rF2. I know that in rF2 you can have real positions for the sun and sunrise, etc. AC seems to have the same sunrise and sunset no matter the track. It makes it a pain to get similar sun angles, etc. I guess that's why they look so starkly different in terms of lighting. Also, put light clouds on in rF2, something that so many people don't seem to do. A flat clear blue sky is...well, flat XD
Noted about the clouds. I put 4pm and same weather in both to try and make that the same, too. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
