I think back to the time when racing in the rain meant the sky was grey and the track like ice. These ARE the 'Good 'Ol Days'!!!!

Just a quick one that you might know the answer to, on non updated tracks with rain, how wet does the track need to get before a good dry line appears?

Sorry, I'm not sure if I understand your question correctly. Do you want to know how long it takes for a dry line to appear with non updated tracks to rain?

I ran a non updated track yesterday, let it get 45% wet, and no dry line appeared, no matter how long cars (26 of them) drove on it. I didn't know if it had to get to a certain wetness for it to really show or not.

100% wet at Adelaide it did.

Ignore me, I think it needs to get to about 80% wet to be considered 'wet', I'm interpreting the % wrong!

Was just wondering becuase I want to do some wet screenshots.

Well, to be honest, I do not know the exact answer either. I know the tracks without updating for rain look practically like a mirror in wet, although I don't know if that affects that it forms a dry line or not.

I'll carry on testing. I think I'm not letting it get wet enough and misinterpreted the wetness %

Thanks anyway! Hope to get something up soon!

Not atm but maybe. I don't think the bumps are an issue.

There has been a lot of new thing added to rF2 that this track could do with a update, along with many others already in rF2. Reading about the drying line on older tracks suggests to me that these track lack a ini or script if you like to make it work properly. I'm not really that learned on the way tracks work so I'm just guessing on this. Just makes sense when you see and understand the added features to cars need extract textures and command line to work. Why not tracks as well.

So I hope you or the author does update it. Not sure but I don't think it's DX11 updated. Could be wrong.

It's not too bumpy though. It's accurate to the time it was made. The 2016 refers to the ad boards.

As for lack of drying line, that's my fault, I wasn't letting the track get wet enough.

No the dry line is all abot the texture mapping to the road surface and the new rain fx (puddle map). The 2016 version is getting all the latest updates and an extra 12hour layout.

Now that makes as much sens as asking "has a chock got teeth?"
A wet track is a wet track. Makes no difference how wet it is so it should get a drying line were the cars run fast then the area of the track off line regardless.
