Come Join Our rFactor 2 Discord Channel!

It's a chat channel, you're not compelled to read every single post, just jump in and chat...that's what chat channels are for...chatting!

mIRC anyone? :)

I remember when I first started flying IL2 Sturmovik back in 2001/02 we used to have fortnightly meetings on IRC and general chat was done in between using a mailing list..was very interesting when teamspeak came out, seeing how people actually sounded compared to what I'd visualised via IRC and mailing lists.

Cheers

Early to mid 90s for me on normal IRC, mIRC then became the norm in 1995. Crikey that's a long time ago!

Anyway the discord channel is good, the devs often hang out in there and it's a pretty cool place to hang when you're bored at work!

What can or cannot be discussed here? E.g. if I have a question about an issue I'm suffering with rFactor 2, will it be allowed in there, or will it be frowned upon and told to "make a thread on the forum"? I feel it will reach more people there, be more "visible".

I do actually have a problem currently, which is covered in many threads on here, but none of the suggested solutions have helped.

EDIT: Never mind, saw there is a support channel. :)

Yeah the devs do respond in the support channel, Marcel often replies to questions if he's free. It's handy in that sense to get a quick response to an issue especially if a forum search doesn't yield anything :)

I've only just graduated from strongly worded hand written letters!

I'll have to check this out at some point. Discord's one of those things I've been meaning to look at but haven't.
