To sign up for this series, which will be run on Tuesday nights please visit http://cmsracing.com ... Our Summertime Fun Series is about to start! So get ready for some wind in your hair and bugs in your teeth as we ignite the track with the Spark F3. We're going to set aside today's technology and travel back in time a bit… no Traction Control and no Anti-lock brakes! Once again we'll be using our right foot to steer nearly as much as we do the wheel. No down force to fiddle with just raw driving skill. To give these open wheelers a workout we'll be running them thru the twists and turns of Putnam Park with Chicanes, Mills Metro Park Outer Loop C, Poznan and Toban Short in reverse. It will then culminate in Monte Carlo as we wrap up the series with a 45 minute race Finale in Monaco. Driving these little guys puts a smile on my face and reminds me of driving go carts as a kid. Man were those the good ole days. Evil Knievel was giving my rotator cuff a real workout, G.I. Joe now had Kung Fu Grip and the driveway was covered in a maze of chalk drawn streets lined with Matchbox cars. (Give me any grief about that and I'll make sure Steve Austin kicks you with his bionic boot!) As always, we invite everyone to come out and join us. No points are awarded in our Fun Series... just the reward of enjoying some youthful play. Guaranteed to take a few years off, well, for 30 minutes at least. When Is It? Thanks, it really should be a neat series, we've had a lot of fun with rFactor 2 thusfar and expect this to be a popular car and set of tracks ...
I was kind of blown away not only by the size of the grid but also how good the drivers are over at CMS. Come on over and join, folks!
I have registered at CMS site 2 days ago and have not received any email allowing me to join the forum...did I miss something?
It's possible that something could have happened with your account picked up by one of the spam filters. Let me send you a private message here to see if we can get it fixed.
Finally managed to join! Many very well known names...great people, great racers! Did some laps at Ponzam, fun track! Will try to make race #3!
Ah, Monte Carlo, the land of beautiful people and expensive toys! So why in the world would anyone think to put a race track in its midst and fill it with rockets on 4 wheels? For the thrill of it of course! As our Sparks Fly Series comes to an end we will travel to Monaco (60's style) for our 45 minute series finale. Fast laps are likely to mean less than safe laps. As we venture thru the streets at break neck speed we become acutely aware there is little room for era. Buildings, guard rails, high curbs, narrow passages, a launch ramp? and tight hairpins will keep us on our toes. Patiently timing our passes will be essential. An accident on these streets will likely make for multiple casualties, so execute passes wisely, watch for your opponents weak spots and capitalize at the right moment to avoid catastrophe. Remember, you've got 45 minutes to keep the beast alive.
