    Hi,
is there a way to clone the trees in 3D studio Max? I've tried it, I've made the plan for the tree. I exported it and it works. it turns based on the position of the camera, but if i clone it, the clone does not work. you have a suggestion? Thank you. I need to make one for one? Please tell me no.
    Thanks in advance.

No. There you go :) :p

If you leave them instances(for ease of use more than anything else) and don't mess with rotations and definitely don't do a reset x-form you should be fine.

    Same istances
    No x-form reset

Don't forget to set the right billboard settings for the instances in the exporter :)

Copy an instance shouldn't cause any issues. I have just spent days making billboard trees by doing just that. Mind you I didn't make the first bb tree I used mario's script to make the first tree then select that tree "ctrl V"
and moved for the rest. Worked fine for me

Thank you! Now it works. There was an error in the "Instance" I had not flagged the option in "screen-aligned quads" for the clone. :D
