Hi

Been racing online system but didnt want to change my usual online name to real name. Then I got a warning email about who knows what. Now it won't let me change anything. Can still race but under the ridiculous Changemyname handle! Won't bother racing anymore unless I can sort it out.

Whats the next step now?

What number are they up to now? 80?

Let's get @Coutie in, as I doubt you get on discord to ask on there.

And yes, you should be using your real name. Or a real sounding name if you flat out refuse.
 
No I don't particularly want to change a name I've been using online for 3000+ hours.....since RF2 first started. I've got a steam ID so can't they just use that if they need to do anything with my account.

First General rule of the system. Use your first and last name.

Is this some kind of known issue that would be fixed in future? We have a guy who's also having a SafetyCar duties in our races so he's switching between real name and SafetyCar name when it needs, so now it's a problem for him because he cannot race under his real name anymore.

Possibly this might work.
Have him create a completely new Steam ID for the Safety Car driver.

@Coutie sir, perhaps the wording of the signup needs to be strengthened. Something like: Use your Given Name or we will wipe your hard drive, short the motherboard and tell the Government you didn't brush your teeth twice a day.

You can turn off force names in the server, then that person can change their steam name to Safety Car for however long the race is.

I'll have to ask them to do that.
