Change files .hdv and .veh

    Hello everybody! I am new user rF2. I want simulation race and do something changes in files .hdv I do another files on another teams..

    F1ASR2018PhysicsFERRARI
    F1ASR2018PhysicsMERCEDES etc....

    i am changing mass and drag base.
    The next my step is a change in team .veh name physics from difficult on mine new name.

    copy this files in fisicial.mas and save. When i started dedicated server game not search my mod and i cant do anything. Whats wrong?
    In devmode if i do that its working but devmode dont has got dedicated server, yes? Or has?

    You need to repackage the modified files into a new mod. You can't just edit the existing one.

    @Mat1k If you repackage a vehicle mod that you have modified, at least rename the veh files and also the entries for 'description', inside of the veh files.
    And i also would recommend to change the veh file entries for 'category'.
    If you don't do that, you will for sure have a conflict with the original mod, when both mods are installed.

    I have got only one mod, F1ASR2018. If i change file phycisc.hdv or files from .veh my Dedicated Server doesn't run. I don't know what i am doing wrong,i can't do new mod with new files. Mod Manager donesn't search mod after i modify this.

    I only changed car mass in .hdv and this mod is "damaged mod", he doesnt work. So i have got a question. How i can pack new files for new mod? Or what i must do in order to this mod work. I must modify mod once a week;/.

    @Mat1k Maybe we have a misunderstanding here.
    In devmode, you can use extracted/loose files and edit them, no problem at all, because that is, for what the devmode is made.
    But if you want to use a mod in single or multiplayer, you have to package and install it.
    That is the only way to get it working there.

    Yes, so how i can package and install this mode with my new modificate files? I am really stupid, but i really dont know this..

    Too much work for me. i must edit mod twice a week... i must play on devmode then

    It's not that difficult after you do it a few times. Have you considered putting in upgrades rather than repackaging the mod every time? Depends what you're doing.

    Yes, when i edit my mod is "missing" from rFactor 2, this game doesnt search. Then, i must deinstall and install mod one more.

    Why are you going back to that again? We're saying you need to package the mod. You can't just edit the MAS files and expect it to work, but you can change the MAS files, repackage, and it will work. It's not about the game 'not searching', it needs the content to match the signature of that content; it's part of what stops people cheating online.

    omg, i apologise... My eng is bad so i dont understand everything in 100%, sorry. So i only must do new fisicias.mas and swap in the folder vehicles-mod yes?

    @Mat1k No. It seems to be a massive language barrier here.
    You have to package a new component file with the mas files.
    I can only repeat myself.
