It would be great if you share some wip pictures from time to time. Thanks in advance for keeping hopes alive that one day carts will be back.
Even if i might put some hate on me... but there is a cart mod out there from the 1998 indy cars. it really needs some love and fixing.. but it is better than looking into this dusted thread.
Hi guys, i have converted cartfactor 1998 to rfactor 2 and have updated it to use all of the rf2 features ( deformable tires, driver animations, and proper hud shaders / rain lights, rf2 tires ) Who do i contact? I'm ready to release it on steam workshop for everyone as a beta test feedback? Thankyou!

Reach out to Nick, if you can. Or zerocool who had previously received permission, and you two can work out a beta release.
I hope this works out. I've been waiting for a proper CART mod since ages, allways hoping for the licensed Reynard to see the light of day. Looking at those images and reading the initial comment this seems to be the most fleshed out effort so far, so I am very much looking forwad to giving those beauties a spin. Some of the best looking racing machineries ever.
@jpalesi you may be able to get at least the source photoshop files, so there can be tweaking done so it looks better in rF2 than a straight port. Maybe taking a look at the updated mod files from Automobilista can be of help.
Not sure what happened with the original SCART conversion, but I guess it's dead/in limbo - new one looks really cool though No problem from me to release this, we'll generally let anyone do a conversion of CART Factor as long as we're notified and the appropriate credit is given - usually we ask that the original readme is included, but that's about it. A lot of conversions seem to never see the light of day, this looks well advanced and almost ready for release which is a change! Thanks to JP for reaching out to me and letting me know...
