Anything other than 1998 was done through iDT (which you can see who made the models and some of the textures), and it lacked on tires and overall driving. CARTfactor was CART 98 and it will only be ported if willing and capable volunteers approach the guys who made it. But there will be the need to update things and redevelop the tires.
Indy95's and ASR f (whatever) 92's and Im good for open wheelers ... There was a 1985 F1 mod in RF1 that was pretty damn good as well
a good 1985 mod would be awesome, id fear it would be done on the quick and not get finished a little like the GP79 mod. that one didnt quite make it as far as i remember?
I took some time off from the '95 conversion this summer due to family issues, but once I get rf2 back up and working on my system (build 798 appears to have a conflict with some program in my system) I will be back on it.
If you take just one car and are able to make it match today's standards (higher res and whatever you need to do on chassis triangles) you'd have a better chance of getting the nod.
That would be great! I recommend you to make a fresh install of the last build, removing all the old stuff including directories.
It's a weird issue. If I put rf2 in my startup folder it works fine, so their must be a conflict somewhere. Anyway at least I have a workaround so I'll get back on it soon.
IDT was fantastic. I didn't try their CART mod for long, but their F BMW mod was fantastic and honestly still is fantastic. Seriously, the IDT FBMW mod, from like 7 years ago, is probably Game Stock Car level in terms of the physics (or at least close). You don't understand how many hours I spent racing the FBMW at all the Mills configs (short, long, reverse), same with Toban and Essington. Oh, and at the Trois-Rivières street track, they're just mega, not to mention the Norisring too, oh and Varano
Another fan of iDT's Formula BMW here. I remember spending a lot of time tearing round Brands Hatch in that car, great fun. Back OT, any CART content would be extremely welcome, especially mid-to-late 90's cars. What truly brilliant racing we had then.
