Hey @cheifwiggum my only minor issues with this mod is theres no short oval chassis (not much different than rc but tires would be harder and the car would pull to the left) and theres no superspeedway tire for indy and bigger tracks. In 85 these guys ran Nazareth, Milwaukee and phoenix along with Indy. Outside of that this mod is awesome
GPLaps did a review of this on his youtube channel, nice to see Chief getting the recognition he deserves
Hope everyone caught the 500 yesterday. Congrats to Helio and everyone at Meyer Shank racing! I jumped into Danny Ongais' car this morning and ran another 100 lapper and wondered again if someone in the community had come up with tweaks to run a more historically accurate 500 with the AI. Such things are well beyond me but if there is a way to address the nits (or dare I say it make an 80s version of the speedway without curbs and a drive-able super low line on the collar), I would be so appreciative. In any event, thanks again to Chief W and everyone that helped make this mod still the best "beta" available in rF2.
I will release a new Update today, with the Car Shaders from Chris, and I have tweaked also the Shaders for Cockpits and Engine Parts and the FFB will be little bit smoother now.
oh, I recognized that I have lost my Steam Upload Folder for the Mod, this means I have no Metadata File with the ID Number, is it possible to update the Mod now?
Yes of course Id=1810583021 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1810583021&searchtext=Cart+1985
thx Mauro, the ID Number should be ok, but I get the Error Message "Error! Failed to create new workshop item (Access Denied)" I don't want to create a new Workshop Item
Maybe it could be useful https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=553110627 publishedfileid should be zero for all new items and after running SteamCMD once, that tool will fill out a unique identifier for your workshop item, which use can use to update this item later;
