I cannot believe the new TGM graphics. For Nissan GTR Soft tyres, it says that the tyre stay at 98% of grip with 93.5% of wear rate? Im running with GTR, and just with 20% wear rate I can notice it having less grip than first lap, and with 50% wear rate way less, and with 80% wear rate you must change tyres because they are off. How can I read that? I see that 77% wear rate is at 98.55% grip, if it drops 1.5% grip (98.5%), the tyres must be changed?
The graph is indeed a lot 'flatter' than it used to be. My interpretation is that this is because of the added thermal degradation: in rFactor 1 (and the old rF2 TBC-files) you only get the WearRate-function. Now, you get the wear of the rubber of the tires (which isn't alot), but also the thermal degradation when you run the tire above a certain temp (this activation temp is pretty low). The thermal degradation curve is a lot more steep and thus has more influence on the grip than the actual tire wear. Ideally, you should 'add' the 2 graphs (wear + thermal deg) together to get the remaining grip, but that's difficult since they are on different axis'. Also, calculating your thermal history is pretty difficult*. *should be possible with motec data
There was a lot 'wrong'/different in that mod. Should work now: http://www.mediafire.com/download/oj7c9hh7o94z89l/CarStat2_Beta3b.zip
Yes program now working ok with Abarth mod. Multicar mode does not seem to be working. Left top main window opens ok but other windows stays closed up and I do not seem to be able to get it to expand. Restore button greyed out. Functions from left top window also will not expand other windows. Tried 2 , 3 and 4 choices same in each case.
One addition request: Could you list the Class and Category of the vehicle in the General section? Some programs need that, spotter for example, and it's not really easy to find out anymore. Thanks, always been a great program.
hello "Unhandled exception has occured in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately. Lenght cannot be less than zero Parameter name: lenght." this message appears when I try to click on the one of the engine upgrades in one GT mod. When I click continue button, Carstat stays on but the engine parameters are not changed (and they should be). What could be wrong?
Mee you can reproduce it with the asr f192 mod and with the asr ferrari f643. edit: sry only with the asr f643 the F192 works well with CarStat 2
unfortunately it is a kind of a private nonpublic mod (SimHQ SCES). If you can not investigate the issue using that mod posted by alpha-bravo (asr f643) let me know I will try to ask the permission for you.
I should have fixed the error with the Ferrari f643. Could you check if this also fixes the problem with SimHQ SCES-mod? (the problem was a not-implemented "DiscFailure"-value) Also fixed a mistake in the pitstop calculations. http://www.mediafire.com/download/scqp47cfx4twbta/CarStat_2.zip
many thanks Mee for your effort I was away from my home for a couple of days so I was not able to try the new version until now. There is some progress but unfortunately the issue is not solved completely. On some cars/upgrades from that mod it works, on some not. There are some cars where some upgrades works and some not. And there is another group of cars where not any upgrade works. In some cases the error description is changed to: "Engine file not found. Try another vehicle file." Are you willing to dig even deeper? Let me know and I will try to gain the access to that mod for you.
Of course I want to get to the bottom of this and fix it . So if you can, it would be very helpful to get me those mod files.
