@trollray you're a fuck*ng legend!! Can't wait for those updates that will improve (even more) the great work you guys have done! Thank you all!
Trollray you have done a magnificent job here mate. The fact that in the space of two years you've gone from playing with ai settings, to tweaking car shaders, and then onto a complete update of the entire '86 season tracks, along with textures and then to top it off, you gave us the incredible road meshes that these tracks deserve. It's an absolutely incredible achievement and I hope you are very proud as you deserve to be. You are a pleasure to work with and so encouraging with your words and work ethic. I would normally say keep up the good work now but instead you should take a well deserved break and enjoy driving your tracks with the new AI we now have in the RC. My half of the project will be completed in the near future at the least because I owe it to you. And for anyone wandering I am still here - the cars are on hold for a little while whilst I focus on work, but I intend with absolute conviction to complete them as soon as time allows. Thank you sincerely to everyone who has given their time and knowledge to help Trollray with the project. We are so fortunate to have such a helpful and friendly community here.
Wow, i'm out of words ... So many thanks for this support and those kind words. But i will take a break you are right @doddynco. Well.. Eh,... Arrgh.. No way, in fact i'm totally dedicated on the 1988 cars and tracks layouts now lolll (is that a problem doctor? ) Cheers
Hi, no problem with the beers, i'm from belgium... lol But, since last update, all the ai seems broken with my tracks. I'm searching of what cause the issue but ai seems to loose their ability to break. They look to break too late and have serious problems with turn entry then. With 1988 cars, this is very bad. The cars are known to be prone to spin because of a very strong engine brake resistance. (I will work on that) But, this wasn't affecting the ai before update. Now Ai seems more driving like a human but... A bad human driver lol If you encouter this problem, this is from the last update, all was fine before. :s Any ideas are welcome Cheers
Hi @trollray I discover the circuits. I started, for the moment, in the order of 1 to 5 by changing F1 91 at each circuit. It's great, you can feel the atmosphere of the 80's, everything is coherent, I love it. I can't wait to discover the remaining tracks! Congratulations for your great work!
Hi all. As i work now on the 1988 cars i had some problems with the new ai since RC. But, the good news are that i have find the different variables that gives Ai strange behavior. That said, i need to redo some aiw path but now i'm confident that this will make some very natural behavior for the ai. In other words, now i can appreciate the new ai from studio 397 Cheers
is there a mirror for this https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2188673436 or this https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2618731740 rfcmp trackpack files pls? steam just does not start downloading them for me. somebody pls reupload them somewhere, thanks
check if on your .../steamapps/workshop/content (no sure about the name of this folder and I am not on my PC), if you already have the folders with the numbers of the two items. Or on the .../steamapps/workshop/temp (?). If so, delete them and try again. A couple of people have had issues with the download and installation of content in the past few days.
Hi, just to tell you. I'm working on 1988 cars and for the tracks, no problem, the problem was related to cars physics and the new ai update. The behavior that make some ai to hit your back is reproducted with other cars and mods and other tracks. Something i will tell to devs now. But this tread is about tracks, so when all the cars will be done, i will do the 1988 tracks as well. The majorite of them will be just another layout added as 1988 version with only small details changed. Of course, Silverstone and Susuka will be added too Cheers
