Whatever the size, the type etc...I always get the same error that the website can not process it...
    Is this a bug?

There are a bunch of errors about avatars, I'll need to get someone who knows how to deal with this software to look at it.

@Coutie I don't know this XenForo System, but it seems to use php.
What makes me wondering, is, that there are different Links for the Avatars on this Site, where one of them (yours in this Case) is also linked to another Website "secure.gravatar.com".
So because we have different Links for Avatars on the same Site, it can not be a Problem with the Site Code.
So i would suppose, that the Links are differently/not at all stored in the Data Base, which opens the Question why that happens.
    The working Links are:
    Coutie : https://secure.gravatar.com/avatar/...flatawesome/xenforo/avatars/avatar_male_m.png
    redapg: https://forum.studio-397.com/data/avatars/m/28/28123.jpg?1478208667

    And not working are:
    davehenrie: https://forum.studio-397.com/styles/flatawesome/xenforo/avatars/avatar_m.png
    TonyM: https://forum.studio-397.com/styles/flatawesome/xenforo/avatars/avatar_male_m.png

The not working ones are Links to the default Avatars as it seems, so there is probably something wrong with the Site/php Code, that gets used to upload Avatars and store proper Links into the Data Base.

I had a working Avatar but found a picture i preferred so I attempted to upload the new one without any success. I tried multiple sizes and formats and concluded I needed to delete the original first...but all that did was erase the working Avatar and I've been without one ever since. Even after deleting the working Avatar, I was unable to upload a new one...again trying multiple sizes and formats.

I'd have to find the image again. I had an SSD failure and lost everything. Currently I've just installed a new Samsung NVME and it works fine, unless I'm gaming, then it dumps me back to windows. Not a crash but similar to me alt-tabbing. I don't even have to be doing anything, just in the game watching and it will go POOF! back to whatever browser screen or desktop if nothing else is open. That has been occurring usually every few minutes repeatedly. sorry off topic.
