I want to race with my friend but both of us cant see the server at all.I have opened the ports ,disabled firewalls and etc but none worked. Is there anything that needs to be done ? BTW I was using the normal ISI packages still its not working Please help
Google your modems name and model portforward you should get an ip you need lto put in your browser. Portforward.com is a good place if you know modems model
I have a problem where I can't see my own server, but others can see it and join it without problems, what's up with that? All ports are open. When I open server from Launcher, the 64-bit version gives me back "stopped responding" error and crashes as soon as it needs to connect to main server I guess. I need to check "Force 32-bit" and then the server will work, other can see it and join it, except me. If I open the server from folder (I was following the "SteamCMD" guide), the 64-bit version works fine, but same problem, works for everyone except me.
This is what I did to have my server (Steam CMD server) show in both LAN and WAN; 1. Edited the Multiplayer.JSON file in ....server\UserData\player folder; Changed the HTTP server port to 27013 Changed the simulation port to 54497 2. Make sure ports are open... Saved everything and fired up rF2 LAN WAN
While I hope there's a fix that works, last time I set up a server for testing (same machine) I found I couldn't see it either, so I created a shortcut to the launcher with +connect and +password options set to force it to join the ip (127.0.0.1) and port. I didn't test whether I could find a fix.
Yes, that has worked for me too and eventually I went with that solution, shortcut with +connect. Yesterday I have also tried only HTTP port to 27013, after that I could see my server only in LAN but not in WAN so nobody else couldn't see it too. But I will try to change Simulation port too as @Goanna suggested above.
