Can't calibrate wheel

The sim recognizes the wheel (DD1) and I can set upshift and downshift, but can't assign turning. It says to 'click button' (or something like that) or ' click escape'.

I've rebooted, closed sim, etc. several times.

Any suggestions?

When you choose Steer Left, don't worry about clicking something or pressing a key, just turn the wheel. TRY moving the wheel all the way to the left, ALL they WAY. Then repeat for right turn

Thanks, I was a bit confused as the directions are to 'turn wheel 90*'. Anyway got it going. Cheers.
