I've been teaching myself Maya for the past few months for some software I'm working on and have become relatively competent in its use. Can I put my new skills to the test in rF2 and create tracks? Or is 3DSMax a must? I sure hope it's possible to develop in Maya, as the license was damn expensive and I can't afford (to learn or pay for) another 3D tool at the moment. I found a link to this tool in these forums, so I guess there is hope? http://www.virtualr.net/trackmaker-for-maya-–-released Edit: ah, I see the above tool seems to have been removed.
You can make a track in maya and after send it to 3ds Max. I think the only problem are the plugin for material and for export in GMT. So is more simply work all in 3ds Max.
