Hi there, I was just wondering if there is a way of reducing the amount of movement when driving in cockpit view. I play all other sims in cockpit view with ease, but in Rfactor2 I find it quite difficult. I've now realized that it is because the camera movement is too much, it is like my head is moving too much, and not connected to my body. Is there a way to deduce the movement? Thanks, James
there is a settings for it i believe you can even completelly remove head movement, the settings is in... Settings...
In the Settings > Controls there is a slider for Head Movement. Try lowering it, as I believe default is 100%. That should fix your problem.
player.PLR [ Graphic Options ] Cockpit Vibration Mult1="1.00000" // Primary aerodynamic vibration multiplier affects eyepoint position (base magnitude is in VEH or cockpit file) Cockpit Vibration Freq1="31.00000" // Primary rate of vibration affects eyepoint position (higher framerates allow higher rates) Cockpit Vibration Mult2="1.00000" // Secondary aerodynamic vibration multiplier affects eyepoint orientation (base magnitude is in VEH or cockpit file) Cockpit Vibration Freq2="37.00000" // Secondary rate of vibration affects eyepoint orientation Car Vibration Mult1="1.00000" // Primary engine vibration multiplier affects position of cameras attached directly to the car Car Vibration Mult2="1.00000" // Secondary engine vibration multiplier affects orientation of cameras attached directly to the car
No sorry, it controls this line in the .plr: Head Physics="1.00000" // Fraction of head physics movement applied to cockpit view (position AND rotation) I thought that is what you wanted to lower or remove entirely.
The RealHeadMotion Plugin by magicfr may be to your liking. Discussion is here: http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/3743-Real-Head-Motion-Plugin-1-0 Download for v1.1 is here: https://sites.google.com/site/midid...dmotion-plugin/real-head-motion-for-rfactor-2
My recommendation is to just run the ReadHeadMovement plugin. I spent a good deal of time modifying the settings and I thing I got them just right. http://www.mediafire.com/download/n7qo3qcv3iwd5l7/rF2+-+RealHeadMotion102513.rar It is more about where your eyes are looking vs your head movement. Your head is suppose to move but your eyes in real life are fixed on the horizon.
real head motion plugin is ORSM. works great. 1st time I used it it did feel weird and felt a bit sick, persist because once you get use to it you will never go back.
Fixed on the general horizon ya, but not on an object due, to extreme vibrations, head bouncing, etc. . I couldn't focus on anything in the rotax max karts I drove briefly, I could barely even see the turns until I got used to the track. I could generally fix my vision, to a certain extent, on an object, but the object could NEVER be sharp and in focus due to the super extreme vibrations and head bouncing/shaking, and on top of that your peripheral vision is getting shaken and bounced all around. This wasn't as bad in the soft "school version" F2000s, but still bad. In the prototype style car I drove, it was almost as bad as the karts. Even your dials are hard to read because of the vibrations. I couldn't read the huge number on the car behind me in my mirrors because the vibrations were so bad. Sims tend to way, way, over dull this sensory overload experience, just so that we can visually "lock on" to an object in-game.
Hi, I installed your file but the cockpit view goes off center to the right , with the original file OK.
I've never been able to get this plugin to work. The rF1 version works, but the rF2 version doesn't. There must be a conflict with one of my other plugins. All the others are essential, so I can't remove them.
No head movement is like a aid for mine. ( probably why it is set on default ) If you like aids fine, np
I've read about this on more occasions, what exactly does it do? By default I have no problem with how the camera's work but I'm getting curious what this does I love the additional sense of speed it generates
we have the chassis and head movement. ( OK ) And we have world movement (I dont like this) Think to the driver with a motion seat.
