At several tracks there are options to run different layouts. I've found on many sim tracks that driving over a part of the track that is used for one of these alternate layouts is often very bumpy. Do real tracks, say Paul Ricard TTT, have noticeable bumps in the racing surface when using the chicanes on the back straight? Or Fuji where the F1 corner is skipped but you have to drive over it and both edges have what feel like raised lines defining the alternate layout. I'm not trying to be critical, I am curious. I don't know if race tracks get grooved when one part of the track is used more often than others. thanks
