I've got a fairly large locally recorded replay file that crashes the game every time I attempt to load it. Also each time it leaves behind a temporary file of the exact same size in the replays folder. The size of said temp file is 2 101 507 KB, and having tried to load it three times each time it left behind a file exactly the same size. That's 2.00 GB in size so I wonder if it's a kind of file limitation issue. I'm using a 64-bit Windows 7 with NTFS so in my understanding and experience it's not a limitation imposed by the OS or file system. Details of the replay file itself: Recording fidelity: Full Length: 3:10:55 Number of participants: 72 (Around 40 cars in total but driver swaps and a few spectators increase this number I believe) File size: 955 100 KB I also tried loading after using lower graphics settings. No affect. This is from the last attempt at loading it: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: rFactor2.exe Application Version: 1.9.1.0 Application Timestamp: 54935a1f Fault Module Name: rFactor2.exe Fault Module Version: 1.9.1.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 54935a1f Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 000000000035fb82 OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: 41e0 Additional Information 2: 41e093a384643fbcc744270518236b48 Additional Information 3: 3a18 Additional Information 4: 3a18508d71ef04808cd4bd5a6a207169
If you make a copy of the .vcr file, and change the extension to .zip, can you extract it successfully? (using winzip, WinRAR, etc) And if you can extract it without errors (possibly to a filesize larger than your 2 101 507 KB), and you put a .vcr extension on that file, does it load properly in the game? And work all the way to the end?
