I can not make a vMOD on my server.

I could... Now I can't; for some completely unknown reason. It worked one day and not the next.

When I select "Create new mod package". I wait... and wait... then it crashes.

    This is what I get:

    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
    Application Name: MAS2.exe
    Application Version: 2.9.2.7
    Application Timestamp: 546cfed1
    Fault Module Name: MAS2.exe
    Fault Module Version: 2.9.2.7
    Fault Module Timestamp: 546cfed1
    Exception Code: c0000005
    Exception Offset: 00002795
    OS Version: 6.0.6002.2.2.0.272.7
    Locale ID: 1033
    Additional Information 1: fd00

I have uninstalled... Manually cleaned up ALL references to rFactor2 from the server's registry and re-installed the game twice now.

I don't believe it has anything to do with MODs that are installed because, it crashes on a fresh install (910 lite) with nothing else installed.

    Thanks in advance,

    Bryan

    Thanks! That was easy enough!

    Although, I never found a cmpinfo.dat file.

Thanks! I had this issue for a long time and gave up. Always had to create my vmods on my PC at home and then upload them to my server.

Btw. I had to delete both files, pkginfo.dat and cmpinfo.dat.

%USERDATE%\AppData\pkginfo.dat is for vmods (rfmod) and %USERDATE%\AppData\cmpinfo.dat is for components (rfcmp). Sometimes they get corrupt. If you don't have cmpinfo.dat then you probably haven't created a component on this machine before.

    Thanks Noel,

That is useful information! And, no, I haven't made any components on the server.
