Build 660 Released

If anyone is using SLI GPU:

My SLI advantage was gone with the new 690 build, so I tinkered around with Inspector, now instead of Windows System Assessment tool, I set it to Crysis(the same SLI profile setting as the stock nvidia profile for Crysis 2)

and voila, the SLI advantage is back. The textures seem to flicker slightly less(but that could just be me hallucinating).
 
Well, i was able to put server back on with 660 after a non-sucessfull auto-update.
Lite install to a new location and all went fine, working in 660 and with live racers plugin aswell. Getmod also working. Skins transfer will comment asap.
So, basicaly....time to race!!!
 
I did a second search of rfactor2 and I don't have any of those files in rfactor 2.
I made a mistake and was seraching in the programs files instead of the rfactor2 folder DUHH!!
Anyway I don't have any mscp or msvcr files in rfactor2 any other ideas?

Not a whole new license, no, and you only need to do anything if you use online stuff. If you race offline, you don't need to.

Just go to purchase tab, rF2 store, then the 12 month option at the bottom.

I tried and didn't work :)

However, I tried a different thing that worked, although it is not the appropriate solution to the problem.
I made a new user and it works fine with the new user. It does not matter if the new user has admin rights or not.

Any clue of what could I do to help fixing my profile?

Look in AppData\Local hmmm maybe roaming I can't recall. But look in there for a cmpinfo.dat and pkginfo.dat. My guess is the pkginfo.dat got corrupt. You should be able to delete that file and the MAS tool will work again.

I just used the in game updater (always have with no issues before), but....This time after the update finished and I went to launch an offline session I get this system beep along with a system message "rFactor2.exe-system error The program cant start because Fmodex.dll is missing from your computer, Try re installing the program to fix this problem"

However when I close that message it goes ahead an launches the game and appears to work ok. I get the same thing when I try to launcg online as well. WHy is the "Fmodex.dll" now missing after the update? Also why does the verify say everything cool?
 
Havent been near my pc yet so short question.. Has the greyed out join button issue been fixed? Saw in the technical forum a quite depressing statement that it hasnt?
 
Good afternoon

I have problems after update from 590 to 660.
All seemed to go OK, but once the update was completed, rfactorlauncher still shows the message build 590, and says "local update found". I press the update button but nothing happens.
Then I tried to install the rfactor lite build 660 over the existing intallation, and game does not start.
Also I tried to uninstall everything and install again the rfactorlite, and still does not work.

I still use windows xp. Can this be a problem?

I always do a fresh install using rF2Lite...
I backup all packages/User Settings, uninstall old build and install the new one...no issues...

Not experienced it once since 590 was released myself and in our leagues not had a single mention of it. It was fixed.
 
1. I was just on the ISI server with the hondas and the skin transfer was not working .. the box's flashed for a while then went to black and no skins loaded .. is it turned off on the isi servers ?

2.Performance increase and smooth as silk nice job guys !

3. I didn't see it in the release notes but the "change car" within the game button has been removed? or is my install messed up?
