Core UIv1.0 is missing, invalid or damaged. Unable to continue. Please reinstll rfactor2. should I uninstall 118 first? I didn't... it didn't run... I did (uninstall) and .... it doesn't run. Same fault. Any Ideas? Update. I have accomplished another complete uninstall, and re-install. I verified, reactivated, checked all mods are Installed and I am still getting the above error. I am now at the mercy of ISI or the community, because a have no clue why the game will not run. Still need a fix. I have completed yet another download and re-install of the software. I am getting the same errors and I thought I would include this from the launcher. Verification: Getting verification data. Please wait for result. Invalid path submitted by this application or there is any error with the verification service. Dec 02: I had not previously attempted to open the developer window. That part works. Otherwise the game remains broken. The above faults still exist.

The game works fine, there's something going wrong your end. Core UI v1.0 is a default component that is part of the base install. Check in your 'Core' folder there should be a folder called 'UIData', inside that should be 2 files, Core.mas and core ui.mft. Open core ui.mft with notepad and it should read as below (B125 of course). With exception of the last two lines, my file reads exactly like the one you posted. I don't know but suspect the last two lines are owner/player specific. Thank you for the reply. I think the thing that has me confused is I have tried 4 clean installs with the same results. On my most recent attempt I re-downloaded the full install. All attempts have failed. The only thing that I have not done is delete the files in the .... AppData/Roaming/.rFactor folder.
Ok! MJP, you are brilliant! There was a corrupt "something" in the files/folders that were remaining after the game was removed using the rFactor remove tool. A buddy recommended I remove all of the files. I removed everything except the files in the AppData\.rFactor folder. I had to re-install the Package Folder files. That was expected... I hope this mess can help someone else with similar issues. Build 125 is nice so far... A big thanks to MJP! Randy
Then you'll need to do a fresh install like the OP did. A file either didn't update, or didn't install right for whatever reason. But a clean install IS NOT just uninstalling via control panel. Don't forget about the data dir.
