How to resolve the error "The application failed to start successfully (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application "

This error message may appear on 64-bit systems when the Microsoft Visual C ++ redistributable is not configured correctly.

Below is the procedure for replacing corrupted Windows files, and resolve this problem:
1. Click here to download the archive.

It contains 4 files:
Mfc100u.dll , msvcr100.dll , msvcp100.dll and msvcr100_clr0400.dll
Unzip the archive and save the files to the desktop;

- Press the "F8" key (several times before loading Windows, you must press the "F8" key until a menu appears);
- Select "Safe Mode";

Keep away from DLL files fixer !
 
I did it,
but imposible to copy this "msvcr100_clr0400.dll"
I dont have authorization it s said ...
I dont understand I succeeded copy the others ... ;)

but tried again launch rF2 after this new action : NO IMPACT !!!

GRRRRR !!!!

I tried too to switch compatibility on W7 on rf2.exe ... no result !
i will try again to copy again the last dll file.

do you think my last chance is to reinstall W10 ?
 
finally chaged authorizations for System32 file. Done the copy of last .dll file, and .... NOTHING !!!
always bug in 64b.
always 07xc000007b error when launched from rf2 64b.exe, or no launch from launcher window( no flag forced23b)
Im disapointed !
I read about dependancywalker, what it is ?
I will now come back RF2 DX9 and will try again ...
 
I know it has been already pointed out by lazza but I would check anything odd under bin64 folder. Especially plugins or any dll in general. Maybe deleting bin64 folder and verifying integrity later could help.

Did you restart computer once finishing copying the files ?
When we had a Microsoft Visual C ++ problem we reinstalled all the Microsoft Visual C ++ files again, Microsoft Visual C ++ 2005, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2015 ,both 32bit and 64bit.
I now keep them in a folder at the ready as Microsoft Visual C ++ problems happen regularly at my clients.

@SPASKIS : i checked rf2 files integrity via steam, it s said OK ... I will do once more ... ;)

@ cecee : yes restarted ( many times ;) ;) )
for C++, computer is native installed in all versions you detailed, in 32 and 64b, BUT my point to you is :
each "C++###.exe" is twice present with 2 different update numbers ....
It means I have for each file a double, only difference is their update N°.
Would it not be better have only 1 file of each type ? ( I would delete the oldest one of each ... )

@ all : so i came back to version DX9. AND that s now interesting : I can start in 64b from launcher !!!
BUT .... when i open the race (track lemans2014+ IA=Full URD+ESLigierJSP2 with 19 IA ),
i get direct BLACK SCREEN and the message "gmotor2 error ...."
but this race config at 19 IA is starting well in 32b version ...
So I guess my recent open session in 64B is not so ..."open" or so "64b" ....

Before doing so I told you to completely remove bin64 folder to get rid of anything that could be interfering. All important files will be restored after checking integrity.

Checking integrity by itself won't erase anything that you might have introduced by error.

Depending on how sure you are that you never installed a third party plug-in, you are free to skip this check.
 
EDIT :
finally, after launched the race in 32b, I come back to launcher, I deflag the "forced32b" and start again.
Game is open, and I start the race !!!! but with Black/absent sky .......
 
NEW EDIT :
now Im back on DX9,
i launched on 32b, no problem etc ... except limited IA ...
i started in 64b, then I lost mirrors ( all blacks : internal and virtuals ) ... and sky is black/absent.
even when i come back on 32b, all mirrors are black ...
I already had that by the past ... I can clear it by uninstall Corvet Pace Car & lights.
But internal mirrors are now so bright and white, not useful ... but virtual are OK.
But in 64b, sky is black/absent !!! but i recovered maximum IA to engage.
same if I run a track+car 100% ISI or not.

So, to resume,
I can start 64b in DX9 only if run first 32b, then the 64b.
I lost internal mirrors (too bright/white ) in 32/64b
I lost blue/day sky in 64b
in Beta DX11, I cannot start at all the 64b ...

2 questions :
how to fix the sky in 64b ?
how to setup brightness ( all my google quests I tried to setup were unsuccessful )

Microsoft Visual C ++ problems can be a nightmare.
Try this program :
https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb...lock-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed
If no success then use an uninstaller like Revouninstaller https://www.revouninstaller.com/download-free-portable.php
and remove all the Microsoft Visual C ++ files including registry keys.
Restart, check that they are all gone and then reinstall all of them.

Once all are installed again, restart PC before you try the game.

Clic sur chaque "vcredist" dans le dossier Runtimes
X:\SteamApps\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Support\Runtimes
Ensuite redémarre Steam voir l'ordinateur.
