I think the best way is to always have multiple options of download / installation, you never know when something will going to fail or be offline, so you automatically have a backup option available. The worst scenario is when you have only one location, it goes down and the responsible is not available because he's not interested in rFactor2 anymore. We had multiple tools and mods lost through time because of it.
I agree but I don't like how Series ( rfmods ) take over the workshop. Scroll a full page you lucky to see a few pieces of content, rest is rfmods. Ironic they say this is only for use in this League but make it public. They use workshop to promote their leagues nothing wrong with that but imho it should have a separate section. They also tweak content so when you go to update a normal version you have conflicts and damaged rfmods. Novices download these and don't realize old rfmods keep content ransom.
