KNOWN BTCC cars have a high pitch sound on the latests RC

Just tried the Toyota BTCC after installing the latest RC build and there seems to be a problem when I press the brakes. There is a high pitched sound. First I thought it was a fnew eature and brakes needed to warm up first, but that is not the case.
 
I have the same problem. I tried turning down the sound effects to quiet it but the sound remained as loud as the engine noise. I have now gone back to the previous game release which handles the BTCC content much better.

The sound is still present in the previous release but it occurs while driving rather than braking and is much quieter. I assumed that it was intended to simulate the creaks and rattles that would be emitted by a lightly skinned race car with a tube frame. Now I’m not so sure. Perhaps it was a bug that was corrected in the new game build and now needs some adjustment and fine tuning to correctly simulate brake squeal.
