Now im no engineer so my knowledge of how to set up a race car isnt amazing but when you see an onboard shot of a btcc car these days theyre so good on the nose. By that i mean the driver turns the wheel and the car is instantly where he wants it. No pushing on beyond the apex etc. Now in rf2 as great as the btcc cars feel I can never achieve this sort of feel. Also btcc cars always look as though they run quite a soft front end in that they can really dive around on the suspension that they can run through corners like a tripod with the inside rear wheel well clear of the ground. Something else I dont seem to be able to achieve.
If ingame I set the car soft at the front but stiffer at the rear I end up with some weird what feels like 4 wheel sliding going on mid corner or it will just push wide from the front.
Any tips on how to make them feel a bit more like the real thing as ive searched high and low and with not being willing to pay for setups for any sim im not able to find much info.
Here's a video to show what I mean by how good a btcc car is over a lap in real life.
