BTCC 2019-2026

Well done on keeping up with these updates, i have to kind of take responisibility for causing the weekend and todays update having spoken with JimmyCoupe quite a bit on RD to see if he could make Jake Hills BMW chrome and change the shade of blue on the NAPA cars. Your rfmod makes it so much nicer for those of us who only really use the btcc cars though.

So using sm_snetterton from the workshop, have some weird issue where any silver part of the cars so wheels or interior, headlight housings etc, will go from looking normal to being either dark grey or black over the course of a lap. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled the track but still happens. Yet ive seen videos of other people using the track online and theirs looks to be fine. Only happens with Snetterton, no other circuit

hooray, glad someone is working on the 2026 season. Saw the Assetto Corsa rip off where they painted the Plato Racing livery on the infinity, looked bloody awful

When I started, we used Nascar3 cars with just familiar grills up front to call them something else. Amazing how far we have come.

MSG should have another 75% off complete package sale which they did on at least one other occasion I know of.
It is still $325 AU no one is going to pay that these days ?
But at $82 AU

P.S.
Then maybe you would see a few more running BTCC, personally can't understand liking AC BTCC " drive" over this.
Even the Hyper/ GT stuff is still good, when you in the zone you barely notice difference to LMU.
Some of the free HY stuff is awesome IMHO.
Shame about Le Mans and Ferrari of course.

I am sorry to disappoint some people but I am sure most people understand that my 2019-2025 skin pack is purely that. It won't magically create a Ford Focus saloon, Audi A3 or a Mercedes A35. I work with what I have to extend the original S397 2021-2023 package. Yes it will use the hatchback focus and it will create a fantasy Mercedes and Audi using the Infinity. Personally I am very happy with how the 2026 season looks and I hope many of you get some enjoyment from it. Sadly making cars in rFactor 2 is no easy job and is way above my pay grade. My 2019-2025 skin pack will be upgraded to 2019-2026 later today. For anyone that's not sure JimmyCoupe is MrBTCC ;)

You can only work with what you have once you are cockpit view racing i am sure it will look great !!!!

Surely with the amount of talent around the community it wouldnt take much to convert the hatchback model of the focus into the saloon? Also may be worth contacting a guy called LPDesign he has recently modelled a lot of cars including the Mercedes A Class saloon into NGTC cars and he makes high quality Assetto Corsa mods, his latest being the Lamborghini Temerario GT3. He has both a facebook page and Patreon.

I would pay even Greenlight cars no worries but they just not going to get enough purchase.
This month rF2 has been Very Positive ( 81% ) but you need numbers.
I be very surprised if any new content could turn a profit.

**** Patreon, I not interested in supporting any company that helped facilitate pedos to push their filth for years..... ******** never.

and don't give me it's fantasy it is on public record. ! ******** pedos

I wasnt on about using patreon i was just stating two points of contact for someone that has created a vast array of NGTC BTCC models and it would only take someone with the knowledge of creating rf2 mods to reach out to get them to grant permission for the models of the missing cars to be created/put into rF2. Nothing about new paid content so no idea why you're banging on about that.

I think the problem is that you don't just make cars for rFactor 2, the physics is complicated, more complicated than Assetto Corsa. Also you can't just take the physics from the S397 BTCC cars since its a commercially owned and created mod so somebody would need to spend a long time tuning the physics to match the S397 package if you could find someone out there. I have dreamt of BTCC 2002-2005 in rFactor 2 but I learnt its not that easy sadly.

S397 are not going to do any further work on the BTCC cars either otherwise they would have already have done the work. Their BTCC licence ends at the end of 2026 and its my guess they were forced to continue with the licence until then to be allowed to sell the cars they had already produced in rFactor 2. Another guess is that come the end of 2026 the S397 BTCC cars will be removed from their store and they will not be allowed to sell them commercially anymore due to not holding a licence (this is just my guess and not based on any fact a part from their licence is coming to an end in 2026). I would recommend to anyone that does not own the cars to get them bought before the end of the year as you will continue to own them once the licencing agreement has been terminated.

I tried really hard in 2024 to get someone in S397 to consume my mod but it came to nothing due to the complexness around sponsors and licencing when you make a commercial product to sell. These will be the same reasons why you won't see them make a Mercedes or an Audi. Even updating the current Ford Focus hatch to a saloon would need commercial licensing and then there are all the new sponsors on the Ford to deal with let a lone ensuring Napa Racing are happy with how it looks.

We should be happy that S397 made some BTCC content, yes we didn't get the promised BTCC game but we did get the cars and some of the tracks. We should also be happy with how far the community then took the cars. We now have 2019-2026, which is 110 liveries more not including 2021-2023 which came with the original package. Its unlikely any commercial product would have given you that.

Physics aren't nearly as much complicated as it is to understand what the hell these 200ish people, still playing rF2 and responsible of transmitting message about rF2 "out", likes and respects.

I really should buy the BMW asap. These BTCC cars ,and whole late rF2 official content was very very good.
