Broadcast Overlay and VR

How do you get working the new Broadcast Overlay in VR?

Can we use the new overlay in VR?

It's a broadcasting overlay. It has nothing to do with VR and is not meant to work in VR

It is designed to work as in-game overlay so why should not work in VR?

It is designed to work as in-game overlay so why should not work in VR?

My understanding is that if you are driving, the overlay is not available, you have to be for example, spectating to have the overlays available.
