The super touring mod was converted to Rf2 by WillyC using the R07 and Gtr2 existing mods. He did this with permission and all cars are fairly well balanced. Any other add on cars would have to be BOP matched.
No, I just meant in those original GTR2 mods. I DREAM of them being in RF2 someday. The Nissan does exist in a different RF2 mod but it's way under powered by comparison and quite a bit more difficult to drive.
A shame since it looks like a great model. I haven't looked at video in depth, to study it and see which mod would have more accurate physics. I definitely like the ST mod physics more than the Nissan's. The Nissan feels like it's about to wipe out all the time. On the other hand, I've made some ridiculous saves in the Renault that seem pretty amazing. I'd like to think it was just skill but I'm all too aware of my own talent factor (it's not that high). But without more in depth review, the Super Touring mod here embodies the feel of the actual series pretty well if nothing else.
I think @philrob could say more about that. Are the physics data taken exactly 1:1 from the RL vehicles? Got you the data from engineers who knew the old vehicles? I'd be very interested in that.
Merry Christmas All! If you've been good, head over to the ISR forum for new toys! If you've been bad, I guess no-one's going to stop you heading there anyway!
Really looking forward to spending some time with these beasts Are there any LHD cars in this carset? Also, does anyone knows shifting method used in BMW in those series? H-shift or sequential? Happy Holidays folks.
Hi @The Iron Wolf, the one with front spoiler and rearwing like the ones in this mod where seq. shifter the first one's without any of these spoilers where H. Claude
I just watched a couple races in 97/98 and they are sequential. I have a couple questions: 1) I noticed the mirror issue mentioned while driving the BMW. Pretty distorted. Amusing but I'm guessing not intended. Is this fixable? I don't even know how you would do such a thing tbh. 2) I noticed in the opponent filters, there are several options (which is nice, thank you). Are there any notes on the ones that aren't obvious (one I think is just labeled SuperTor and one I think says League or something)? I can't figure out the differences. Thanks again for this mod. Really hope you keep up the work. Would love to see the Hondas and Nissans ripping it up. Happy New Year.
Ok, point 1noted and I'm sure its fixable (probably a uv remap). Opponent filters are fairly straight forward for most of the cars: SupTor - All cars under Super Touring category SupTor97,98,etc - All cars for that year SupTor_<Make/Model> - All years but just that make/model I suspect the next few months will be manic at work so not sure when the next update will be but noted about the Hondas / Nissans. The top priority for me is to scale up the cars so they are of similar scale to the more recent offical content and add the new shaders to the cars (currently only the Audi and BMW have the new shaders). I also think all the cars are too fast and need the handling tweaked to a bit more challenging.
