I don't know if anybody noticed it: After 80 years of hibernation the first new racetrack in the western parts of Germany had his opening celebration last weekend. It is just 20 km from my home so i am very familiar with this track. It has been designed by people like Walter Röhrl and Hermann Tilke. It is already called the "small Nordschleife", because the track flows very natural in a forest area with 200m height difference on a 4,2 km course. There is a very steep section called "Mausefalle" with 26% elevation. Breathtaking to view and to drive. Why am i advertising this so much? I think it is one of the best and most demanding tracks i have ever seen, and because it is not your new "run of the mill" formula 1 track it has maintained some of that classic natural road feeling (like my favourite track, the green hell).

And i would love to start a project to model this track for rF2. I would like to get modders like probably ethone interested in this project, because i just can't mod. That is my little problem here....

Please have a look at their website, it is definitely worth checking out: http://www.bilster-berg.de

Or if you want to go on a virtual lap: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=QR9bnxn86w8&noredirect=1

And here is a real Porsche GT3 lap on this track (great drive): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LY2xH2F4RA0

You see, i have a lot of love for this track and would really love to see and hear other peoples opinion about bringing this beauty to rF2...

Looks pretty dull compared to eg. Yas Marina or Valencia street circuit. :(

I know, i know. His formula 1 tracks are absolutely boring, but since this is not a racetrack for tv and spectators, he was able (and forced by the natural surroundings) to adapt the track to the landscape and not the other way round. I absolutely agree with your opinion about Tilke when we talk about his latest F1 work.....
