I have a good idea for Rouen I like to try today.

Do a hour race , 6x fuel 4x tyre so Ai must pit twice.

Rather then start at the back get on pole.

We push hard and do 3 stops to their 2. hehehe
We can easy stagger stops around them.

I think it will work out about spot on, we will have to make up 70 seconds and stay neat all race in the rain.

So I set room this way and start a race till someone comes and test.

Started from back with R Soul , 3 stopped ( ai did too ) and beat them by 24 seconds.

Should have started from front the extra pitstop would have worked out just right.

So no matter how fast or slow ai are you can always work around it.

One of us beat them by 24 seconds...

Perhaps if it hadn't gotten dark I might have done a little better, but there was nothing dangerous about them. I got a nudge while braking in qualifying, but I braked too early because of a combination of lack of confidence, car control and familiarity with this car at this track. That's fairly realistic.

Once I disabled blocking I had no problems with them at Monza 66.

I have had infuriating problems with them at Spa 66. The racing is fine but every time there's a yellow flag they slow dramatically, even when that flag is caused by a car safely pulling off with a blown engine.

Stock car AI could use some help. Not terrible in terms of green flag racing except passing merging cars, but cautions are definitely a mess. Cars don't seem to know how to sort/get in line/pass other cars to get in the right order.

Indeed. If a yellow flag comes out on an oval, there's a good chance that the AI become confused with the proper ordering and drive around at 5mph. It's incredibly annoying and spoils an otherwise wonderful experience. I've also mentioned previously that this problem is exacerbated by the AI braking as hard as possible at the start/finish line when under a new caution. Not only is it one of the causes of the ordering issue, it can also create huge pileups.

The racing AI is great though.

Yeah I think I mentioned that, they also slow for cars in pitlane.
The major problem is the ai using 10,000rpm to change and spending too much time in 4th gear.
At Belgium this costs over a 1+ sec. on the run up the hill.

Safety car was not used in GP till 1973 :)
