The 9th May 2020 E-RacingSeries hosted an Indy 500 race. While organizing the event we've noticed that with Indianapolis specs there was a huge gap between Chevrolet and Honda engines, Chevy was 0.3s faster than Honda engine, and you know it's lot of time in a race like Indy 500. It would be nice if S397 can bring a sort of BoP between the 2 engines, so any driver can choose his own engine without losing so much time from the others
Can't say for sure, but it seems like the two engines have identical power curves with slightly different sound. MoTec plug-in doesn't capture the data needed to derive HP on some encrypted physics files so I can only go by acceleration rates between them, and they seem nearly identical.
CarStats tool shows Chevy has higher peak horsepower while Honda has more power at slighly lower rpms. But the tool still leaves much to be desired to compare cars.
Why they must made BOP? It doesn't matter a lot, just setup your chassis for your engine Torq output!!!
