Not really big news, very busy right now on other stuff..... modding is on hold for now.

- Fix all motecs.
- Improved shaders reflexions on body.
- Fix Flickering on Porsche 991 GT3-R Banner.
- Some textures improvement on all cars.
- New interior sound for Mercedes AMG GT3.
- Tire model improved (Slicks and rain)
- Aero improvements on all cars
- New Default setup in all cars.
. . . thanks very much
Many thanks for your hard work.
Thanks!! These GT3's are amongst my fave mods
Wow, they're even more fun to drive. merci beacoup.
First report: driver's helmets are all orange (like in v1.1)!!!
Thanks, great job!
@gpfan . Second report.
Did you use the files I sent you on 22/04 to correct the bad reflection of cars on wet track? It seems to me that no.
Some cockpit textures are too reflective.
Physics seem a lot better.
Tried a little more the Mercedes. The cockpit is very nice, the engine noise on the spot. Just reduced rear wing setting a little bit, and went racing on default setup, car was very pleasant to drive.
Tires temps behave as they should, loaded tires have their outer temp higher than center and inner, unloaded tire the opposite.
All cars look great on replays, a very good job indeed.
A question regarding the mod....Does it include talent files?
Did gpfan suddenly become shy?
the mod gt3 has been upgraded to version 1.2 on steam.
New verison 1.2 is out!
- Improved interiors materials on all cars.
- New carbon textures and shader for interiors on all cars.
- Big improvement on FFB.
- New brake physics.
- New settings for Caster.
- Some tweaks on aero model.
Also for some reason gpfan hasn't posted the here. Maybe he forgot his password for this account?
Seems like the entire mod make rF2 crash in DX9.
I don't use DX9 since DX11 beta came out, but i know there are a lot of leagues which need to use DX9 to broadcast their races, at least now. It's ok IMO to not optimize things for the old engine, but at least make them working.
I'm still on DX9 and that would completely suck if it's the case since I run that mod quite often.
Totally agree. Don't optimize it if you don't want but at least don't break them. Not everyone cares about DX11.
I wonder if I can backup the mod from my Installed folder before my system updates it, unsubscribe from steam and then put it back after. I guess I'll have to find out
guys, your frustration with lack of plugins in DX11 and desire to stick to DX9 is understandable. However, DX9 is being deprecated exactly so that S397 and content creators can focus on DX11 and not spend time on ensuring backwards compatibility.
Hopefully, previous version of mod could be downloaded on this project's facebook page. But DX9 is no longer supported, it is reality.
Well, v1.2 was downloaded at launch but in game it's still showing v1.15 even though the installed folder shows v1.2 (don't ask me why) and at least I'm still able to run it without issues. I made a backup of v1.15 just in case.
Still, it worries me if modders are going to focus only in an unfinished engine completely disregarding DX9. Im my mind it shouldn't be the case until S397 makes an effort to improve it. Making it default doesn't make the performance issues and lack of plugins disappear, reason why lots of us are still running DX9.
I wasn't a huge fan of the physics and ffb of this mod initially but last night I tried the Hurricane, 488, M6, & 911and all were absolutely fantastic to drive. Graphically they all look really good just have the over exposure on the dash with PP at low. That can easily be overlooked when the racing and feel is this good.
