Congratulations, your work is proof that you are one the best modders for RF2. It has been love at the first sight, cockpit is superb, nice skins, good sounds, really immersive. A living proof of what RF2 can deliver when all the stars are aligned. Tried a few races with manual shifting, heel and toe, and I left the wheel to thank you.
Thank you, but please remember that I prefer to call this version for rF2 and "update to", because the rFactor1 version was and is the "original great evergreen mod BMW E90"! I paid attention to make a good update only trying to improve few areas where rF2 gives us new chances. All credits to Thome for the 3d and to the Raceskinning.de guys for the rF1 mod!
philman, did the sequentials use a throttle cut to allow for flat upshifting? If so, these won't simulate that, but Slow might be able to figure-out how to incorporate that in the future These cars were not ultra-realistic in the original mod, so are not so here, either. Can't lock the brakes; throttle is a bit subdued. Etc. But they are so much fun and good for MP or league racing because they are a bit user-friendly and undoubtedly that's why they were so popular in rF1. ALL of the fun aspect has been successfully ported to rF2
If my memory serves me well, these gearbox do not need throttle cut for upshifting but require heel and toe for downshifting.
Slow Motion, in the driver cameras, the bumper camera is bad located. Need move Z axis to the front. Is difficult race with this bug using this camera, Thanks mate this is the car in outside camera: then this is the bumper camera , with the car in the same position:
Hi Slow Motion, I only recently got to try this out after not having a wheel for a while and just want to say thank you. Really enjoyed my brief time with it and will be spending more racing hours sitting in this mod.
Good work! Thank you very much! Great tyres/physics, big fun! EDIT: Two little bugs though: - Brakes are too weak and - smoke flickers through the cockpit
Thanks again, this little marvel is perfect to practice the green hell. They are fun on every track I tried them, I much prefer them to any front drive car. I wait impatiently for your next work.
Hopefully after the Palatov is done (and we need Slow to pay full attention to that!!!) this car will get polished to completion.
There is also another thing to fix: unfortunately going out of track the base of the front bumper touches the ground and car suddenly stops. It is not so dramatic... it isn't an offroad car, but I'd like to fix it. The point is that I must cut part of the bumber and I'm not very sure of this choice.
Had a really really good AI race with this car last night. Just love it, easily one of my favourite cars to drive. Just wondering if you've got anything else in the pipeline to look forward to?
Was having a lot of fun with these on Dijon last night, made a bit of a mistake and slid into sand, got really startled when front end dug into the sand and over I went. Still crazy fun tho.
we've been running a mini-series (3 races) with these models, our final round is @Mills Outer Loop A where we've been practicing the last few days, they are a BlaSt there..Our league guys luv 'em and most of the public drivers that join comment on what a great mod this is..looking forward to checking out your future projects.
