I after installing the total build 240 and the installation of new content, I have the black screen after clicking on local game or multiplayer! Solved with the reinstallation.
I too have solved this annoying problem... but not before I reformatted the HD and reloaded Windows 7, rF2, and a host of other tools I frequently use including TS3 and Server, and the necessary tools for the internet... WOW that was painful... When I went to the game I still had the ISI B(lack)SOD (in-game single and multi-player). I read elsewhere on this site (not able to find the quote) that turning off the in-game AA, and turning on my override game rule in NVidia would eliminate the need for the ALT/TAB workaround and that did in fact give me the desired results ... rF2 is still my ONLY, by choice, racing game.... certainly makes me work for it though...
