Hello all ! Nice to see some very familiar face around here Maybe I missed something (again) ... but I was wondering if there will be a (massive) beta test for rFactor2 ? Thanks for the answer
I'm sure it will be a closed beta but man i hope not! I am dying to see this in action. Although there where some whispers a while back of a beta but they are probrably to be taken with a pinch of salt.
yeah and if you participate in the beta you'll get free content just like a certain other gam.... simulator
Experience tells me that open betas aren't that useful in most of cases. From the developer point of view it's usually better having a closed group of betatesters, willing to really do testing and provide feedback. But that also depends a lot on the kind of game and other factors. But let's see what happens with rF2 Regards
I'm a discreet and technically prepared betatester. I drove all the best simulators (GP series, F1challenge 99-02, rFactor, Richard Burns Rally, Simbin's opera omnia, LFS, Nascar2003, iRacing, netKar Pro, FVA), and I'm also experienced in real race. I've got a G25 and a 30 inch lcd monitor (HP LP3065 - 2560x1600 pixel resolution). Contact me if you need a serious and sincere opinion. Regards.
It might be smart to give invites also to mod groups. For example 3 invites per group. Groups could then give these invites to their personnel, who can most help the group in future rf2 mod-projects. That is if there is going to be a closed beta.
Is there a Dev or BETA support planned for Mods in progress? As some may know we have a Mod [WSGT2) in progress that is aimed at rF2 for almost two years. We are now at a point where we should start rF2 releated features, but as we all know, its impossible to guess that sort of work. It would be nice to be able to continue work on at least a few features. Modding is a way of live. gztting stuck because we dont have a crystal ball is painfull ;-)
