I'll get in on this Why the rest of America feels the need for month/day/year is beyond me--it's completely bass-ackwards. While I was in the Air Force everything was done d/m/y which makes a lot more sense. It gets me in all sorts of trouble now though:

"So, you were born in April?"
"No Ma'am, I was born in June"
"Sir, you put down 4 for the month."
"No Ma'am, I wrote 6 for the month."
"Huh?"

You really have to read on how the military wants you to put the date, it can go yyyyddmm, ddmmmyy, or who knows what other combinations they use...
