Best WAV encoder for engine sounds?

    Hi!
    I'm starting to create engine sound samples, and would like to know which are all the WAV encoders that rF2 plays, and, of course, the best one.

    RF2 accepts different WAV frequencies. Typically, you can use 44100Hz samples, which are easy to produce using many softwares. Audacity or Goldwave are just two of them.

    Goldwave includes a useful tool for 'straighten' the pitch of a sample. When you record an engine sound, very often the pitch is not constant, but you can get it almost constant using Goldwave's 'Doppler' tool.
    I think Audacity also includes a similar tool.
