As the title says, what are some tips to help tire management in open wheelers, in order to aid wear and overheating?
Precise control of your right foot goes a long way. Reduce compression force on rear dampers. When one side heats excessively increase spring rates and decrease roll bar rates. And most important; don't use mods that don't come with decent default setups, or tend to snap spin. The best way to learn driving and tuning techniques are to start with a car thats already got a good baseline setup to begin with, otherwise you'll spend hours just trying to get the car to handle decently at a single track. While there are a few really good 3rd party mods I would recommend focusing on S397 mods until you master setup, it will take a lot less time that way.
