Well, I seem to spend most my time in this subforum. Prepare for this problem...

Internet works fine for hours. Join an online race and my internet disconnects after about 20 seconds. Little exclamation mark on my network status. I have to disable and enable to get the internet back.

Rejoin server, same thing happens! Tell me there is a fix, I've just missed an organised race because of this problem.

    Thank you.

Are you connected to your router via wifi?

Do you use any other games or sims online ? Can you confirm this connection drop only happens with rf2 ?
I had a friend with something similar but it turned out to be a host of other things to do with his isp and firewalls/antivirus.
Hope you can nail the problem down, that would really annoy me.

Only RF2 haha. I've tried everything on Windows side, even changing my IP address.

What's weird is that I joined a different server and it worked fine. So I went back to the one that it was failing on and it worked!

Haven't a clue and perhaps it was a coincidence but I managed to race so I'm happy! It still remains a mystery to me though!

I still think it's your ISP. With virgin I sometimes get intermittent issues around the time you did.

When you say home plugs are you referring to those Ethernet over power line adapters?

Because those are useless and unreliable. If you, like me, hoped they would be better than WiFi... sorry but they aren't.

I ended up buying an Asus WiFi router. Never had a problem since then.

That's correct guys. But they've been so reliable. My internet never drops with them. It's just when I join an rFactor 2 server. Just did it again :(
